Effective Date: 11 August 2026
Last Updated: 11 August 2026
Platform: RAHA (the “Platform”, “we”, “us”, “our”)
Governing Law: Kingdom of Bahrain
This Privacy Policy and Platform Role Notice (“Policy”) explains (i) how RAHA collects, uses, stores, shares, and protects personal data; and (ii) the nature of RAHA’s role as an intermediary technology marketplace connecting Customers (“Users”) with independent cleaning and domestic-service providers (“Offices”).
By creating an account, accessing the RAHA mobile applications, website, WhatsApp booking channels, or using any RAHA service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by this Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.
PART 0 — CRITICAL PLATFORM DISCLOSURE (READ FIRST)
0.1 RAHA is an intermediary only
RAHA operates a technology platform that facilitates discovery, booking requests, scheduling workflows, payments facilitation, messaging, and related administrative tools. RAHA is not the employer, agent (except as expressly stated for payment facilitation), partner, joint venturer, or guarantor of any Office, and is not the provider of cleaning, babysitting, hospitality, elderly-care, or any other on-site service.
Services displayed on the Platform are offered and performed by independent Offices. Any contract for the performance of services is formed between the User and the Office, not between the User and RAHA.
0.2 Allocation of responsibility
Without limiting any other provision of this Policy or our Terms of Service:
- Service quality, staffing, attendance, delays, cancellations, damage to property, theft, injury, negligence, misrepresentation, pricing disputes, refunds for service failure, and any scam, fraud, or misconduct by an Office or its workers are the responsibility of the relevant Office (and, where applicable, the User), not RAHA.
- User conduct, false information, abusive behaviour, unsafe premises, unpaid obligations (where applicable), and misuse of the Platform are the responsibility of the User, not RAHA.
- RAHA’s role is to make the workflow easier: matching, booking flow, notifications, and related platform features. RAHA does not supervise workers on site and does not guarantee outcomes of any booking.
0.3 Acceptance and waiver acknowledgement
By registering or continuing to use RAHA as a User or as an Office, you expressly acknowledge and accept that:
- RAHA is a middleman / marketplace platform;
- you will look primarily to the other party (User ↔ Office) for service-related claims;
- you will not hold RAHA liable for Office performance failures, scams, or disputes arising from the underlying service engagement, except to the extent liability cannot be excluded under Bahraini law; and
- this acknowledgement forms part of the contractual basis on which RAHA grants you access to the Platform.
PART A — PRIVACY POLICY FOR USERS (CUSTOMERS)
A1. Who this Part applies to
Part A applies to individuals who browse, register, book, pay for, review, or otherwise use RAHA as customers / end users (including through the customer app, website, or WhatsApp booking).
A2. Data we collect from Users
Depending on how you use RAHA, we may collect:
- Identity & contact data: name, username, email, phone/WhatsApp number, language preference;
- Account & authentication data: passwords (hashed), OTP verification status, Google/social sign-in identifiers where used;
- Address & location data: saved addresses, area/city, map coordinates or location descriptions needed for service delivery;
- Booking & transaction data: service category, date/time, hours, worker preferences (e.g. nationality/religion preferences where offered), notes, booking status history, amounts, payment status, invoices/receipts references;
- Communications: in-app chat, support tickets, WhatsApp messages related to booking/support, ratings and reviews;
- Device & technical data: device type, OS, app version, IP address, approximate location derived from IP, crash/diagnostic logs, push notification tokens;
- Marketing preferences (where applicable) and cookie/similar technology data on the website.
A3. Why we process User data (purposes & legal bases)
We process User data to:
- create and manage your account and verify identity/phone (contract / legitimate interests);
- enable bookings, matching with Offices, scheduling, notifications, and customer support (contract);
- facilitate payments and prevent fraud/abuse (contract / legitimate interests / legal obligation);
- improve Platform safety, reliability, and features (legitimate interests);
- comply with applicable laws, regulators, and lawful requests (legal obligation);
- send service messages; send marketing only where permitted and with a lawful basis (consent or soft opt-in where allowed).
A4. Sharing of User data
We may share necessary User data with:
- Offices you interact with or that receive your booking request (e.g. name, phone, address/area, booking details, preferences) so they can accept/perform the service;
- payment processors / gateways and banks as needed to process payments;
- IT, hosting, SMS/WhatsApp, analytics, and support vendors under confidentiality and data-processing controls;
- authorities when required by law or to protect rights, safety, or security;
- professional advisers (legal, accounting) under confidentiality.
RAHA does not sell your personal data.
A5. User acknowledgements specific to privacy & safety
- When you book, relevant personal data is disclosed to the Office. RAHA is not responsible for how an Office independently uses data outside the Platform after disclosure required for the booking, except where RAHA is legally required to remain responsible as controller for its own processing.
- You are responsible for the accuracy of your data and for keeping login credentials confidential.
- Do not use the Platform for unlawful purposes. Report suspected fraud promptly via in-app support / contact channels.
PART B — PRIVACY POLICY FOR OFFICES (SERVICE PROVIDERS)
B1. Who this Part applies to
Part B applies to offices, companies, recruiters, and their authorised admins/staff who register or operate on RAHA to offer services, manage workers, accept bookings, and receive payouts.
B2. Data we collect from Offices
- Business profile: office name, slug, description, logo/banner, CR number, contact person, phone, email, address, policies, working hours, service areas, categories, pricing rules;
- Account users: admin usernames, phones, emails, roles, verification status;
- Worker data you upload: display names, photos, nationality, religion, skills/languages, availability, ratings derived from Platform activity;
- Financial data: bank name/IBAN or payout details, wallet/ledger entries, commissions, withdrawals;
- Operational data: booking responses, acceptance/cancellation metrics, chat with customers/support, documents you upload;
- Technical logs similar to Users for office apps/dashboard access.
B3. Why we process Office data
To onboard and verify Offices, display public profiles, enable booking marketplace functions, calculate fees/commissions, process payouts, monitor abuse/quality signals, provide support, and comply with law.
B4. Office obligations as data providers
If you upload worker or customer-related personal data onto RAHA, you represent and warrant that:
- you have a lawful basis to collect and share that data with RAHA and with Users as needed for bookings;
- the data is accurate and kept reasonably up to date;
- you will not upload unlawful, infringing, or deceptive content;
- you remain responsible for your workers’ conduct, employment/sponsorship compliance, visas, labour obligations, and on-site performance.
B5. Licence & Commercial Registration (CR) warranties
Offices are onboarded on RAHA based on the information they provide. By creating or applying for an Office account — including by ticking any “I agree” box, submitting registration, or uploading business details in the RAHA application or website — you represent, warrant, and agree that:
- your Office holds (or is lawfully entitled to hold) a valid Commercial Registration (CR) in the Kingdom of Bahrain, and any licences, permits, or authorisations required to offer the services you list on RAHA;
- the CR number, licence details, and other business information you submit are true, complete, and not misleading;
- you will keep that information current and provide supporting documents when RAHA reasonably requests them;
- RAHA may rely on your declarations for listing and marketplace purposes, and listing an Office does not mean RAHA has independently verified, endorsed, or guaranteed your licence or CR status; and
- if your declarations are false or you lose required licences/CR, RAHA may suspend, reject, or remove your Office account and related listings without liability to you, without prejudice to other remedies.
B6. Public visibility
Certain Office information (name, logo/banner, ratings, categories, price indications, descriptions) is publicly visible to Users. You authorise RAHA to display this information for marketplace purposes.
PART C — SHARED RULES (USERS & OFFICES)
C1. Intermediary liability limitation (service disputes, scams, issues)
To the maximum extent permitted by the laws of the Kingdom of Bahrain:
- RAHA is not liable for any loss, damage, claim, cost, or expense arising from the acts, omissions, statements, pricing, quality, punctuality, behaviour, legality, or solvency of any Office, worker, or User;
- RAHA is not liable for scams, impersonation, or fraudulent schemes conducted by third parties posing as Offices/Users, except where caused by RAHA’s wilful misconduct or liability that cannot legally be excluded;
- RAHA does not guarantee uninterrupted availability of the Platform or error-free matching;
- any dispute regarding the underlying service should first be raised between User and Office; RAHA may (but is not obliged to) offer limited facilitation tools or support messaging.
You agree that RAHA’s provision of a booking workflow does not make RAHA a party to the service contract between User and Office, and does not transfer Office liabilities onto RAHA.
C2. Payments
Where payments are processed through the Platform, RAHA and/or its payment partners may collect payment data necessary to complete the transaction. Settlement to Offices, commissions, refunds, chargebacks, and wallet rules are governed by Platform settings, Office agreements, and payment-provider terms. Payment facilitation does not convert RAHA into the service provider.
C3. Retention
We retain personal data only as long as needed for the purposes above, including legal, accounting, dispute, fraud-prevention, and security retention periods. Retention periods may vary by data category.
C4. Security
We implement reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data. No method of transmission or storage is fully secure; you use the Platform acknowledging residual risk.
C5. International transfers
Your data may be processed on servers or by vendors located outside Bahrain. Where required, we take appropriate safeguards consistent with applicable law.
C6. Your rights
Subject to Bahraini law and applicable exemptions, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or objection to certain processing, and withdraw consent where processing is consent-based. Contact us via the Platform support channels or published contact details. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
C7. Children
The Platform is not directed to children under 16 (or higher age if required by law). Do not register if you are under the applicable age without lawful guardian authority where permitted.
C8. Cookies & similar technologies
Our website may use cookies or similar technologies for essential functionality, security, preferences, and analytics. You can control cookies through browser settings; disabling some cookies may affect site features.
C9. Changes; right to edit this page
RAHA reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to edit, amend, update, replace, or withdraw this Policy (and related Platform notices) at any time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last Updated” date on this page and/or by notice through the app, website, or email where reasonably practicable. Your continued use of RAHA after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy, except where mandatory Bahraini law requires additional notice or consent. It is your responsibility to review this page periodically.
C10. Precedence with Terms of Service
This Policy should be read together with RAHA’s Terms of Service and other Platform policies. For marketplace role, service liability allocation, and acceptance of intermediary status, this Policy and the Terms operate together. If there is a conflict on privacy-specific processing disclosures, this Policy prevails for privacy disclosures; if there is a conflict on commercial/service liability, the Terms of Service and this Part 0 / Part C1 prevail to the extent permitted by law.
C11. Contact
For privacy requests or legal notices related to this Policy, contact RAHA at [email protected] or through in-app/website support on rahapp.com/support.
PART D — ACCOUNT CREATION & EXPRESS ACCEPTANCE
By creating a RAHA account — including by tapping or clicking “I agree”, “Create account”, “Sign up”, or any equivalent control in the RAHA mobile application or on the RAHA website — you expressly acknowledge and agree that:
- you have had a reasonable opportunity to read this Privacy Policy & Platform Role Notice and the Terms of Service;
- you accept all terms herein, including that RAHA is an intermediary marketplace and that service-related disputes, quality issues, and scams involving an Office are primarily between you and that Office;
- your affirmative action (checking the consent box and/or proceeding with registration) constitutes a binding electronic acceptance under applicable Bahraini law; and
- if you do not agree, you must not create an account or use the Platform.
Office accounts: If you create or apply for an Office account, you additionally agree that your Office is registered on RAHA on the basis of your own declarations that you hold a valid Bahrain Commercial Registration (CR) and any required licences, and that RAHA may rely on those declarations without independent guarantee of their accuracy.
Where the application or website presents a mandatory checkbox, that checkbox is an additional record of consent and does not limit the effect of your registration itself as acceptance.
This Policy is intended to constitute a clear contractual notice and privacy disclosure for Platform users. It does not create an attorney–client relationship and does not waive any non-excludable statutory rights.
